Katrina Freitag was appointed as Fire Commissioner in 2025. A lifelong resident of the Pacific Northwest, Commissioner Freitag is deeply rooted in the community and committed to public service.

With more than a decade of leadership experience in frontline healthcare operations, she is recognized for her compassion, integrity, strategic vision, and collaborative leadership style. Commissioner Freitag is FEMA NIMS–trained in incident command and emergency management, bringing valuable insight into effective preparedness, coordination, and response.

She is dedicated to strengthening organizational systems and supporting the fire department as it serves the community with professionalism, accountability, and excellence.
